The Contagious Laugh

Motion Design opening sequence project for a hypothetical virus named "GLIM"

“Glim” The Happy Virus
Once upon a time in the bustling city of Virologia, a tiny virus named Glim was born. Unlike other viruses, Glim was curious and had a mischievous twinkle in his spike proteins. He lived in a crowded petri dish with millions of other viruses, but he dreamt of exploring the world beyond.

One day, Glim hitched a ride on an adventurous ant that wandered into the lab. The ant carried Glim to the great outdoors, where he found himself in the heart of Virologia’s Central Park. Here, Glim discovered an enormous diversity of creatures. He saw humans jogging, dogs playing fetch, and birds singing in the trees. Glim wanted to befriend them all.

Glim decided to spread not sickness, but joy. Whenever he landed on someone, he tickled them instead of infecting them. People started giggling uncontrollably, and soon, laughter spread across the city like wildfire. Doctors were baffled, but delighted, as the mysterious virus seemed to bring only happiness. News of the Laughing Virus, as Glim was now known, spread far and wide. Scientists tried to study Glim, but he was too quick and playful to be caught.

The world, weary from pandemics and illness, embraced this unusual phenomenon. Glim’s laughter brightened people’s days and brought communities closer together. Eventually, Glim’s legend grew. He became a symbol of joy and resilience, proving that even something as small as a virus could bring about a positive change.

And so, in Virologia laughter reigned supreme, all thanks to Glim, the tiniest hero with the biggest heart.
